Just across the harbor from the Sydney Opera House lies a zoo with a view (you will see why later!). Welcome to Taronga Zoo.
When our ferry arrived at the Taronga wharf, we took a gondola🚡 up to the top of the hill. The views were starting already.
Here is a list of most of the animals🐽 we saw:
Emu
Tasmanian Devil😈 (Looney Tunes all over again!)
And last, but first in my heart (in the animal world), the QUOKKAS🐻! Some of you may remember that my wish for this trip was to meet a quokka in Australia. My wish has come true!
And here is a quokka with an echidna in the background:
We even got a glimpse of the wildlife that we might see in Antarctica🐧.
Here’s what I was talking about with ‘the zoo with a view’🌄!
Wow Elliot! My favorite us that first kangaroo. Do you think
Papa T would let me have one for a pet? And the view is pretty
spectacular!

I, unfortunately, doubt that Papa T would let you get a kangaroo for a pet. It would jump right over your wall. A quokka, on the other hand … hint, hint😉

My parents told me that! That’s why my mom took the picture.
